Septic Systems
When it comes time to have a major repair or build a new
septic system the first thing you should do is contact your
local health department. If you are building a new house you
should plan your system before digging your foundation, this
will eliminate a lot of headaches. You have several options
depending on your situation. Probably the most reliable and
trouble free system is a lagoon but you will need a rather
large tract to put it on to meet your state and county codes.

If you have suitable soils you may want a lateral field system
and with the use of a pump, the location of the drainfield is
more flexible. LLP (low pressure pipe) is an option that is
becoming more and more popular and works well in tough
soils. DRIP systems are also available and work almost
anywhere but they can be very expensive.
There are more options now than ever that are available so
check with your health department, installers and the
internet to see what is available. Keep in mind that LLP and
DRIP systems must be engineered by a certified engineer and
this will add to the cost of your system. I hope this helps you
and I will be adding more info and pictures when I can.
